Phew, it's been awhile.
Well, since my last post, Europe decided to get hit by a big snow storm and cancel my original flight to the US. Then I made it out on Christmas Day. And then the East Coast decided to get hit by an even bigger snow storm. But I was safely inside an apartment and all was clear by the time I left, so all was good.
Since I've been back, I've noticed a big change in the little ones. They are much more affectionate and frequently seek me out during the day, or at night when it is time for bed. I think they actually missed me--and I'm glad because I missed them terribly while I was away. They never cease to make me laugh or smile (well, okay, unless they're throwing a fit)...especially when they play together! As I type this, they are keeping themselves busy by pretending to be baby and mama dinosaurs, and it's probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I could die right now with a smile on my face because every thing they are doing is sickeningly adorable.
I honestly can't believe it's already been 3 months since I arrived. It feels like much shorter, and it almost makes me sad that I only have 9 months left with this family. After this gig is up, I'm not really sure what I want to do...I have this itch to go back to school, but for what, I'm not really sure yet. I'd still like to work with children with disabilities, though maybe in a different way than just teaching--occupational therapy, psychology, something! I am prepared to be broke for many more years to make one (or more) of these things happen...though I'm not sure why.
I guess we'll see. I think this is good enough for now...I have some little boys to attend to! Take care until next time. :)
